First time in a while that I’ve had a chance to take a vid of the two water loving lorikeets. They were at it for a good five minutes. It was a full dish when they started. They certainly had a good time of it. #RainbowLorikeets #BirdsOfMastodon.

The near full grown cygnets have paid a visit. They’ve all had brunch of baby peas and are now snoozing under the frangipani tree. #BlackSwans #Birds

Visiting family for the holidays. While I have my resident rainbow lorikeets, up here we have Bob and Ana (based on their leg band ids) who nest on the canal bank directly in front. Their last six cygnets are now independent (though still in the area) and the nest rebuilding has begun, so likely won’t be long until it’s in use again. They absolutely love baby peas. #BlackSwans #birds.

This morning’s visit from the #Lorikeets #Birds This continued for a good few minutes. They’ll be off for their daytime siesta now and probably won’t return until late afternoon.

This #lorikeet was rather pleased at finding some food left from this morning. Haven’t been many around today. Only one pair at breakfast (hence the leftovers) before this one turned up.
