Here to explore.
@kkarhan @GrapheneOS oh, I know. They need to keep things quiet until everything's solidified, that agreements have been reached. Whenever that day is, I'm looking forward to it!
@kkarhan @GrapheneOS @nitrokey thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to look nitrokey.
@kkarhan @GrapheneOS That's incredible! Germany and the EU are doing right by the citizenry.
@GrapheneOS @kkarhan That's super exciting! I can't wait to hear more when there's more to share about the OEM you're in talks with. I hoping for the best for you all!

@GrapheneOS @kkarhan Regarding Authy: Yeah, that's what I found when I dug into the issue. It does seem like they're not being honest. I plan to shift to a hardware authentication device where I can. Wherever that isn't a viable solution, I'll find a different authenticator app.

Regarding right to repair devices: I didn't know that. It's a bummer to hear that, having a secure, easily repairable device would be great.

@kkarhan @GrapheneOS 100% agree w/ you regarding the US market for devices & networks; it's absolute trash. My path to GrapheneOS started w/ dumbphones/feature phones; so little choice there thanks to carriers. Then I stumbled into custom ROMs.

I don't know how restrictive other carriers outside the US are w/ device support. I could be wrong, but it seems like the best path forward is w/ a company already in the smartphone space that has the broadest support possible.

@kkarhan @GrapheneOS I'm new to GrapheneOS & have been digging into the issues with Authy (been using it on iOS for years) when I stumbled across this. Framework as a potential partner is interesting. I'd like to see Graphene work with companies with stronger right to repair mentalities. Fairphone operates in that space too, but isn't as widely supported by carriers (at least in the US). HMD seems to be there too with their Skyline and Fusion phones & iFixit partnership.
