Join us for a free and friendly run or hike each Saturday 9:00am in Offenthal, An der Sandkaut, 63303 Dreieich. There will be always coffe, tea and usually also (mostly vegan) cakes waiting for you at the finish line as well as lots of nice people to give you a heartly welcome!

4 Erstteilnahmen und 3 PBs gab es heute beim Offenthal Parkrun #186. Bei bestem Sommerwetter gingen insgesamt 29 Läuferinnen und Läufer (inkl. Walker) an den Start. Und natürlich waren auch unsere beiden Papageien Jacqueline und Samanta wieder mit von der Partie. Gibt es eine schönere Art, den Start ins Wochenende zu begehen? 😀

Offenthal parkrun #180: only 14 finishers (most likely because of the holiday weekend), among them one first timer and 5 tourists from the U.S. Australia and Munich. We also celebrated Emlyn's 200th parkrun 🎉🥳 Unluckily, due to a fallen tree blocking the course we had to arrange a detour which increased the total distance to 5.6 km. So, no PBs today 😉

Offenthal parkrun #179 - what a nice way to start the weekend! 32 runners completed our summer course on a warm and humid summer morning, among them 3 first timers and 7 guests from Rheinpark, Neckarau and Fish Hoek parkrun (South Africa). Moreover 3 anniversaries were to be celebrated:

- Ingrid 100th parkrun
- Andrew 100x volunteered
- Bernd 50th parkrun

Unspektakulär und doch gelungen - so könnte man die 175. Ausgabe des Offenthal Parkrun bezeichnen. 22 Stammgäste und 2 Touristen aus Südafrika kamen an einem schwül-warmen Maimorgen zusammen, um gemeinsam 5 Km zu laufen oder zu walken und sich anschließend unter lautem Geschnatter auf das leckere Buffet zu stürzen. Business as usual also in Offenthal. Nur einer stach aus dem Geschehen heraus, indem er eine neue Offenthal Parkrun-PB erzielte: Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Dinesh! 🥳

Zur 173. Ausgabe des Offenthal #Parkrun haben wir uns gefreut, Besucher aus der Maaraue, aus Gießen und aus Paris zu begrüßen. Wie immer gab es ein leckeres Buffet mit reichlich Kuchen, und als Highlight war auch unser Maskottchen Jacqueline wieder mit von der Partie. Und für eine besondere Abwechslung sorgten 2 Ponys von einem benachbarten Gestüt, die sich ohne Scheu unter die Parkrunner mischten. So sieht ein gelungener Start ins Osterwochenende aus! 😃

An Parkruns, die auf einen 22. fallen, ist es gute alte Parkrun-Tradition, in Tutus zu laufen. Diesem Aufruf sind beim Offenthal Parkrun #169 27 gut gelaunte Läuferinnen und Läufer gefolgt, darunter eine Erstläuferin. Insgesamt wurden 3 neue PB's erzielt, unter anderem durch unseren 11jährigen Luis, der mit einer fantastischen persönlichen Bestzeit von 22:09 als erster die Ziellinie überquerte. Wie gewohnt gab es wieder ein üppiges Buffet mit Obst, Süßigkeiten und 4 Kuchen...

St. Patrick Day's Special at #Offenthal #Parkrun #168. On a cold yet dry Saturday morning we welcomed lots of hat wearing runners and walkers in green outfits, among them many tourists from different countries and several contintents. We also celebrated Frank's 100th parkrun with a delicious vegan cake made by Frank's wife Bianca. A big thank you to all volunteers and to everybody who brought drinks and food!
