Why I Went To Iceland for the Premiere of my First Film. And a lot of the Behind-the-Scenes story!
I am currently working on a short film about my Iceland experience, but here's a photo gallery — to get us started:
Today, I uploaded my first feature length film to a server in Iceland.

Sometimes in our podcast, the tables get turned — our guests ask us something. We usually leave this bits out of the episodes because we want to focus on them. But every once in a while, it does lead to interesting results — like in our conversation with Mapumba Cilombo (episode 3). So we decided to publish a little outtake of sorts, a short (9 minute) bonus episode:
This week, we're taking a little break from our regular half-hour episodes, to throw a little outtake into the mix. Marina Gattás and Martin Oetting — your hosts here on Express Change — have found that sometimes, the tables get turned: Our guests ask them something. In the regular episodes, we tend to edit these bits out — our focus is on the guests, not on the hosts. But every once in a while, it does lead to unexpected results. Our conversation with Mapumba Cilombo in episode three is an example of that. Here are a few minutes from parts of that conversation that ended up on the cutting-room floor. We hope you'll enjoy this. ========= Mapumba's website: https://www.mapumbamusic.com/ Mapumba on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6V46XOVfnoCXHWBeZ92k5b?si=UCdGJv_oTEWol2A7kMPWlw ========= Express Change is hosted and produced by Marina Gattás and Martin Oetting, with the team at the Wellbeing Economy Alliance. Our podcast gave me the chance to speak with truly extraordinary people. Pushpanath Krishnamurthy is one of them. He WALKS for the climate — across countries and continents, to raise awareness for the "biggest injustice of our time". Have a listen and let him inspire you, with both his pain and his optimism!
Pushpanath (“Push”) Krishnamurthy is a climate activist and humanitarian who has been walking to create awareness about climate justice for years. He is originally from Bengaluru, India, and has spent three decades working with development, including with orgs such as Oxfam and Save the Children. His first walk was from Oxford to Copenhagen to raise awareness on climate change in 2009. He has walked 40 million steps since then. He sings, speaks and acts on his walks. In his past, he has worked on a range of campaigns to raise awareness about social, economic, or environmental injustice. My latest animation film is online — 47 seconds: "L.A. Cannonball." Enjoy!
We recently released a really interesting conversation from our podcast, with the Director of the Museum for the United Nations, Katja Iversen.
Katja has been dealing with high level economics thinkers and politicians for many years, and her perspectives on systems change are incredibly helpful and enlightening! Check it out, it's a half-hour conversation:
Katja Iversen is the CEO of the "Museum for the United Nations - UN Live", an unconventional, borderless museum connecting people everywhere to the work and values of the United Nations. They work with popular culture players and platforms in film, music, gaming, arts and sports, curating cultural experiences and creating global connections through dialogues — to foster a stronger sense of shared belonging to this planet and positive action. In the past, she has worked as an advisor to private and public sector institutions and leaders including the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, and the G7.
