@CadeTheCat Apparently the new Japanese railgun uses a solid metal armature in combination with a sabot encasing the projectile, both of which fall away after firing: https://www.twz.com/sea/railgun-damage-to-japanese-target-ship-seen-for-the-first-time
Railgun Damage To Japanese Target Ship Seen For The First Time

Japan has shared new details about its continued pursuit of naval railguns, a capability the U.S. Navy halted work on years ago.

@CadeTheCat Not exactly knowledgeable, but that is how it is done, yes. The armature ("sled") is typically either an integral part of the projectile, or sheds off from the projectile after ejection from the barrel.

@marius851000 Yeah the issue is the game doesn't have levels with themes. It does, however, run in 10 minute cycles, and there is a time limit in the main game mode.

I will probably have this one play on the last cycle, and the other super dramatic track ( https://oddwarg.com/Music/Distributrains%20OST/MATERIAL.OGG ) is assigned to the cycle where you have to choose a victory condition. There aren't any other scripted events so the rest of the tracks have to be somewhat generally applicable.

@ashy It's pre-beta and I haven't made a repository, but I've put the files here if you want to have a look

It's possible that it will run if you go into the TDT folder and execute run.sh or run.bat. If you want to build it yourself I couldn't really tell you what would be the best way to do that.

It's written in gnu c99 fwiw

@ashy It's a fast-paced railroad simulation game with mechanics similar to Transport Tycoon, but with roguelike and factory game elements.

A run consists of expanding your rail network to satisfy a varying set of contracts (quests) while maintaining a healthy stockpile of resources (metal, fuel, etc) lest your operations grind to a halt.

The game is won by completing a large long-term contract, and is lost if the time runs out (140 minutes) or you are ousted from office due to repeatedly failing your contracts or failing to distribute resources to the people.

I have not yet found a name for the game.

46 year old machine going back onto the water once again
Finished the cleat repair. I put a stainless steel plate (not visible) under the cleat inside the anchor well for extra support. The repair is pretty visible in person but I've done worse.
Replaced an exploded "noise suppression" capacitor from this kneading machine from 1983. It's connected to both motor brushes and the chassis. I don't know enough about electric motors to tell you what it does exactly.
This headboard is too small (mistakes were made) so I built some little shelves to fill the gaps. Finished them today.

@triku There are stories of the wood cores of entire decks rotting and it's possible this will be the end result despite any efforts. However I imagine it can't be very fast if it doesn't have a supply of more water.

The battle against the decay is never really won, especially not in seawater. I'm just doing what I can to slow it down.
