@rebeccawatson The European results of declining literacy are interesting, and not living there myself I’d be curious what causes there might be in addition to social media. The case for social media causing students to say they “have difficulty learning” compared to a decade ago is fraught in the US, due to major changes in federal school funding around 2015 arguably causing schools to drop teaching standards. I know the post is tongue-in-cheek but that still could have used a mention
