@siracusa I also have a bit of a graveyard for social apps
@siracusa A mockup idea for an anti-Believe shirt
@atpfm Marco: Battery-powered devices that can last a very long time are often better when you can replace the battery and repurpose them
Marco maybe 15-20 minutes later: LMAO cringe fail Apple at it again with their lazy AirTag product! I have NO idea why it’s the shape it is!!! Idiots!
@gruber Musk seems like he should be a bit more than merely Jackass of "the week"

@gruber "It is, perhaps, slightly surprising how dumb this attempt is."

Disagree. Weiss is a huge moron with 0 actual journalism experience. She's a (bad) opinion writer that has Peter Principle'd herself since college. Conservatives actually love affirmative action, but only for nitwits that pledge themselves to the cause.

@marcoarment I had an LG B7 with a square of burn-in in the middle and apparently that was an issue that was covered. I got a free repair from an LG authorized repair guy back in 2021 or so. Wonder if yours may have been covered.
@marcoarment @caseyliss I call Everything Buckets “Dye Drawers.” It’s like a child cleaning their room by putting everything in the closet
@gruber Enjoyed the 80s computer chat. Have you heard of The Making of Karateka? It’s an interactive documentary on the game with playable prototypes, interviews, design docs, and more https://www.digitaleclipse.com/games/karateka
The Making of Karateka

Play the history! Go behind the scenes of Jordan Mechner's landmark game Karateka in this interactive documentary from Digital Eclipse, with archival materials, video features, and more.

@caseyliss @atpfm Your Apple Store experience is a combination of attempting to combat fraud and blatant enshittification. It started a little before I left with the Apple Watch. I had assumed it was due to dramatically low stock & we’d be getting swappable stock asap. Turns out it was the future plan for all products regardless of issue.
@512pixels Good call posting that Power Mac video, I found it the other day after stumbling through recommendations of something you posted and it is magnificent. The 90s ass attitude in the ads, the stilted presenter, OpenDoc, Don Norman flying the flag for experience over tech...beautiful.
