I joined when my life was mostly trying to figure out how to distract myself from depression, and when I spent most of my time with Linux, video games and looking at Japanese shit.
Fact of the matter is, fedi is very small, and only a certain demographic usually comes here.
I grow tired of the stupid culture war and political correctness. I grow tired of Linux being work.
I grow tired of lacking advanced social skills.
Japan has too much karōshi and too many weebs I'd have to complete with to move there. I think I finally found a country I think would be best for me. I'm hoping to move to Taiwan. And mandarin is a pain. I don't regret my time I spent ricing Arch of fucking about with CentOS, but I want to spend my time doing more real life stuff.
As much as I like privacy and stuff, I like girls more. They means not being an autist. Not missing out on dating apps because they need real Google play services instead of microg. I won't go full normie, otherwise my life will become very annoying due to the other side of the Extreme.
I'll keep root on my android. I continue to use DDG instead of Google. Shit like that. But no more disassembling the phone to remove the antenna because I don't trust airplane mode to protect me from cell Tower trilateration.
Honestly? I'm going to spend my time learning Chinese , exploring this capital city I live in for now, and screwing hookers. Going into town, taking to random people.
Maybe actually go to a proper nightclub instead of a pub or something.
I'll play more video games with my friend, instead of blowing them off because wine/proton/VFIO wasn't working...
Oh, and fuck ThinkPads. I love the idea of them, but they're a meme. Honestly, I don't think I'll get any x86 laptop. I don't need one, and Intel / AMD security holes are annoying. Intel ME exists too. Maybe some nice ARM laptop night be nice for web browsing. Idk...
This is, again, kind of unstructured, and most of you probably won't care. In the end, maybe this post is mostly for myself.
Anyway, it's been fun. Fesi is a cool project. I hope that someday it'll be more widely used.
さようなら〜
