Happy Holidays π
I'm super excited for my new mug ππ

@[email protected] thanks for the stream!
Kid joined me watching the stream and would rather watch you than Bluey as we usually do Friday aftenoom π
Last week I watched The Mummy 1999 for the first time - and omg I love it!
As a sort of movie person I cannot believe this has gone under my radar for so long.
Also, so many hot people.
Before summer I got into a nice writing habit, making it easier to sit down and write.
Now I've been struggling for a while, and often panicked when trying to write something.
Today I sat down and said to myself, only 300 words. That's not scary.
45 minutes later and I'm just having a good time, and realizing I've written +1000 words π₯°
Maybe you saw my earlier post some days ago about not worrying about doing a hobby "the wrong way", because there isn't a "right way" to enjoy a thing.
On that topic. Due to my adhd burnout, I have a hard time using* crocheting recipes for big things I haven't' done before. But I enjoy using pieces of knowledge I learned from other crochet things and trying to make and shape something new. Learning as I go. I enjoy this process much more.
*finding, reading, understanding, adjusting etc.
Today I've been extremely exhausted, physically, mentally and emotionally.
And I have taken care of myself by crocheting like a maniac π Healing my self with yarn and now the couch is filled with projects, pieces, yarn, crocheting needles, stitch markers and notes.
And I feel much better and sleepy. π₯°π§Ά
Calling Abhorsen and The Old Kingdom fans.
I have a map question!
In the Danish version the compass on the map shows East and West incorrectly.
While the east and west light are correctly placed (opposite the compass).
Is west/east mirrored in The Old Kingdom? And the lighthouses are placed in Ancelstierre who has opposite w/e?
Or is this simply an error? (I have book 1 and 3 in danish and both shows the mirrored w/e compass).
Friendly reminder that you can just decide to do a hobby your way. There is no wrong way to approach hobbies.
We have a guitar and I've been practising small melodies from Ocarina of Time. My heart sparkles with joy when I can make out the beloved melodies from my childhood game.
Or cross stitch. You can do any image you want! A meme, a quote from your favourite series, or just patterns in pretty colours.
So what if some stitches are wobbly? Just go at it.
Today I bought a clicker to count rounds when I crochet. I'm so excited it's silly π
No more paper pieces with counts on them π just click click click
I know many of these things can be found free online on blogs and videos, but my "sale point" would be to have a complete guide for beginners, who might now not the first thing about html, twine etc.
It's not supposed to be a big bible, but more of an easy, clear and accessible guide with clear examples.
I imagine a price range about 5~10 $. It would be an e-book.
