@numericcitizen Every time I hear about Apple being excessively opinionated in a way that doesn't respect my choices, I think of the South Park cable guys from that skit. Thanks for that image, Louis Rossmann.
@neuralex @technicat Well, actually the Smalltalk devs that Apple copied, but history is written by the victors, as they say
@operat0r Not a single U.S org I've worked at, not even Oracle, has been Windows-based. There's always been a small cohort of people who use it, but I've worked at major companies and this has generally held. Maybe some smaller and legacy companies use it more. But just based on my experience, it's not 99%. I would believe it if you said there's one or more Windows boxes in 99% of companies that play a vital role in their operations. I've seen that too personally, and we all saw it with CrowdStrike.
@nosok Trying to answer lots of questions, huh? Maybe time for... More GenAI!
I hope everyone has perspective this week!
@alexhall Where I work, everything is run through our build system, which is tightly integrated with pylint. You get the equivalent of a compiler error when doing something like that if static analysis catches it.
@crousinaove Hey! I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it seems like you are missing links to the things you've done in your CV.
