Old Windows Sound Recorder was childhood magic for me. I had so much fun playing with speed changes and effects! I even recorded some silly sounds using earphones instead of a mic 😅

Wanted to show it to my daughter on her Windows 11 laptop, but found a completely different, overcomplicated and boring application...

The old one was designed incredibly well.

Piece of an unfinished project — v2 of my Dnipro tram map.

In v1 (https://cv.zaytsev.io/projects/dnipro-tram-map/), it isn't obvious where the city center is. The big ring (routes 6, 9, 17, 12, 7, 19) grabs way too much attention.

In the new version, there's a subtle grid with central streets and green areas, which makes finding the center much easier.

Still a lot to improve there. Would love to get back to it one day.

Back in 2019, @leonid and I built a simple budgeting service in our spare time. It's called Sintra.

We barely marketed it, and it's been quiet for a while. But people still find it, subscribe, and tell us they love it. So we've been working hard to add an English version to make it accessible to more people.

Can't wait to share it soon!
