Both parties have held the debt ceiling hostage as a political tool. For example, in 2011, the Republicans did it. But in 2013, the Republicans did it. On the other hand, this year it is the Republicans who are doing it.

@mchris Someone very recently asked me about an idea along these lines and I thought even the internal legal researcher one was a little dangerous, though I suppose it depends on the area.

I actually think an interesting one could be advising startup employees on understanding their equity packages — it's a very specific domain and people are always confused about it and it's worth something to understand it.
