@scott for the first 4 weeks I was still using the car lanes, but had several drivers angrily pass me. This was before the little bumps were added, so I would be riding in the middle of the road (as SFMTA suggests) and cars would swerve into the bike lane to pass me. Of course, I'm going the same speed as the timed lights, so the car would do that for no good reason, but drivers were acting really erratic. So I switched to the unfinished bike lanes after a few close calls.

The temptation for some is to assume even more SFPD staffing/funding is the solution (and SFPD will happily tell us that), but this is fundamentally a prioritization issue—SFPD just needs to prioritize traffic enforcement.

In the meantime, we need to install more infrastructure.

Andreessen Horowitz, the venture capital giant that has made mega-bets on cryptocurrencies and blockchain companies, is in this market really, really deep -- so keep that in mind as you read @molly0xfff's trenchant thread on the firm's highly questionable '"state of crypto" ̶p̶r̶o̶p̶a̶g̶a̶n̶d̶a̶ report', as she calls it.

No one covers this sleazy field as well as she does. https://mastodon.social/@molly0xfff@hachyderm.io/110180992679102953

Why aren’t there a hundred of these all around San Francisco?
One argument for European-style labor protections is to prevent management from making economically irrational layoff decisions to placate activist investors who are trying to loot the company
