I promised myself that I’d commit to riding a motorcycle for a year and then reevaluate what I want to do with the hobby. I did that. Today I sold my motorcycle. I got to a point where (a) I plateaued in skills riding for a few of hours on weekends (b) didn’t feel safe enough to commit to commuting. In the end I found that risk vs reward is not there for me. For that reason I decided to pull the plug. It’s a decision that doesn’t make me happy, but I’m excited about what comes next (due April).
I am 3/4 through the second book of Imperial Radch series https://books.apple.com/us/book-series/imperial-radch/id1033269616 and it’s amazing. I’d put it together with The Dispossessed and The Left Hand Of Darkness by Le Guin. It’s *that* good. Imperialism, race inequality, gender identity, AI and humanity, it’s all together and in the story that keeps me glued to the pages. I am certain that I will read the whole series again to enjoy it more. I highly recommend it!
Stopped randomly by Niles and stumbled upon NorCal Packards silent movie night meet up. I love and cherish these moments: going somewhere and getting good vibes for no reason but just being accidentally in the right place in the right time.
