Tbh the ApexLegends issue is probably specific to Apex and I think VRChat and other games that use EAC should be ok, from what I am seeing this “Destroyer2009” kid specifically targets ApexLegends. Could be wrong but I don’t see any reports of any other games having issues like this

What if he's planning on selling Twitter to Kanye?

Seeing tonight's election has been utterly delightful. An entire state telling a party pushing far-right to get fucked.. and a lot more smaller parties + independents receiving the primary vote.

Here's hoping the major parties start to realise just how unrepresentative they have become. Or, y'know, self-destruct.

This holds very good vibes for NSW's March election.

if you've ever messed up a dimension or a hole position on something you're building, don't be too hard on yourself.

at least you're not the Cisco design engineer who caused an entire product line recall by placing the mode button (which resets the switch if held) directly above an RJ45 port.

Massive Twitter data breach was far worse than reported, reveal security researchers

A massive Twitter data breach last year, exposing more than five million phone numbers and email addresses, was worse than initially reported. We’ve been shown evidence that the same security vulnerability was exploited by multiple bad actors, and the hacked data has been offered for sale on the dark web by several sources. It had […]

Does anyone have a privacy contact for Chemist Warehouse here is Australia? Found an annoying issue leading to customer private info being leaked around prescriptions.
It appears that doing an intro is the done thing, so here goes: I am mostly a curmudgeonly misanthrope. I have been in the games industry for like 15 or more years now, who can keep count.
Before that I worked in feature films.
Nowadays I teach robots how to play games at Mighty Build and Test. I wrote a bunch of AI tools for testing our games and then other people wanted robots to help them test their games too, so now I just do that.
That said I mostly post snark and 3d printing stuff.

I’m new to Mastodon so here’s a little about me:

ᵃᵇᵒᵘᵗ ᵐᵉ

Here's your irregular reminder that:

Twitter was a multi-billion dollar company with thousands of employees.

Mastodon is a niche hobbyist product run by volunteers

The fact that we're being seen as a viable alternative to them is an admission that a federated, decentralized future is not only possible, but desirable.

Mastodon is not one thing, or one place. It's a network of many things and many places. We don't have a spokesperson (I mean, there's me. I'm the official spokesperson for 💯 of the fediverse, but beyond me there is no spokesperson) we don't have consensus on moderation or blocking or tools or what is good and what is bad. Some of us are professional SREs and Sysadmins, some of us aren't. Some of our instances have been around for 5+ years, some won't be here in six months.

And that's good! All of it, every last bit of it is good.

We're wrestling power away from the billionaire class, in real time, and reclaiming it for the People.

Related to your point:
there are federated podcast publishing apps, such as Castopod (https://castopod.org), and more general audio apps, such as Funkwhale (https://funkwhale.audio) , which allow podcast creators to publish to the Fediverse, making it possible to follow them from one's Fediverse (e.g., Mastodon) account.
