i don't know what the "right" system would be nor that one right answer even exists.

but i sure as hell know what *isn't* the right answer.

sure is convenient that a scientific dialogue system that was largely optimized on having small networks of people limited by tree pulp distribution and disconnected from public dialogue is still the right system for when none of those things are true
