Beaverdam reservoir, Brambleton Virginia

Great weekend trip to the central Virginia mountains and a visit to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Monticello was definitely a lot smaller than I had imagined.

Lately I have been experimenting with just using manual lens on my Sony a7R4. It slows me down and helps me frame my shots better. My current lens of choice a 50mm TTartisans lens. The color rendition of this lens is amazing especially for its price.

My circa 2015 Apple setup acquired recently is a perfect setup for office work and virtual meetings. The trash can Mac Pro with 1gb SSD and 64GB Ram was purchased for $400. The 27” Apple Thunderbolt Display was purchased for $200. Both work flawlessly. I still use my 16” M1 Pro MBP for Lightroom and Photoshop work but otherwise this setup is still excellent. Maybe in a few years I will be able to buy the current Intel Mac Pro for a few hundrend $.
