@cmdr_nova @shanselman you can.

But look, I am not here to tell you you’re completely wrong. You have a valid concern. But try to consider how many professions didn’t exist 10-20 years ago. Social media specialists, anything with data… For low-skilled professions the transition is very slow, there will be many locations where automation won’t reach in 10 years. Also we have an aging and lazier population, lots of jobs will be created in care & service of any kind.

New jobs we cannot even predict will appear. The rate of jobs being replaced by AI is not that high actually. 4 day workweek will possibly come etc…

Where Will the Jobs of Tomorrow Come From?

From care, education and health to green energy, infrastructure and digital, the jobs of tomorrow may emerge in several growing sectors of the global economy. How can targeted investments and policies ensure such job creation and support workers in transitioning to them? This is a livestreamed session.

@cmdr_nova @shanselman jobs won’t be gone in an instant. E.g. Autonomous driving will not replace all drivers at the same time. There will be years of adoption and plenty of opportunities to find / create other jobs.
@cmdr_nova @shanselman I’d say almost every time technology replaced human labour in the past, it was a good thing. Don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t be now.
@shanselman regardless of what the article/Levi’s claim with diversity etc. I see a great use case for this technology. It will let people choose the model, based on their own appearance. I am loving the tech and many people will too, I definitely see it replacing human models - except celebrities, perhaps.
