It’s an amazing piece of software. Thank you for making it 🙏

In 2022, I released a little project called "Are my third parties green?" so people can check the sustainability of third parties on the web. Nearly 5000 web page checks later it's time for an update!

It's still in beta, but you can give it a look over at amtpg.run (https://amtpg.run)

Are my third parties green?

Test a website URL to find out if the third party resources it uses are hosted green.

Are my third parties green?

What is punk?
Punk today is imagining that the future will be good.

What is even more punk?
A kid movie imagining that the future will be good.

I watched Arco a few months ago (I am a big kid, and it was my first film fully in Portuguese, kudos to me) and I'm so happy it just received a César (France's equivalent of the Oscars) for Best Animated Film. I love all the little ideas and seeds the movie plants in kids' and adults' minds.

Arco is SO punk. Go watch it.

Little side story: I was lucky enough to work on a project where Ugo Bienvenu was also involved — the Sens Fiction exhibition created by RFStudio. The website is still online: https://sens-fiction.org
Sens Fiction, an exhibition on the intertwining of design and fiction, imagined by RF Studio and Bureau des Usages.

Why should today’s designers care about imaginary visions, futuristic tales, and the power of fiction?

Sens-Fiction

The director, Ugo Bienvenu, made this film because he was sick of dystopia.
He believed that if we keep imagining bad futures, that's what we'll build.

Same for Natalie Portman, who produced the movie:
"If history shows us anything, it's that life is unpredictable, and the hope lies in being active, in having imagination and using your creativity. It's our superpower as humans to imagine a better future and make it real."

"European services might be less harmful but they are still harmful, not in a moral sense but in a systemic sense. They are part of a system of domination to the perpetuation of which they contribute. They are bound by the same economic conditions that made the economic giants of Big Tech into what they are today."

A larger cage: about the ongoing calls for "digital sovereignty"

Calls for "digital sovereignty" are still everywhere. They are a central narrative of contemporary European economic policies, they serve as powerful justifications for corporations to call for subsidies and they are also omnipresent among progressive digital policy NGOs and activists. I’m not worried about AI.
I’m already a machine at work.

(Say it out loud three times before you start your day)

"In this controversial movie, Harrison Ford plays a dangerous anti-fascist who beats up a pacifist christian nationalist after an ambush."

Very curious to see what develops out of this.
