They/Them or She/Her
In German, or other languages and around irl ppl who don't know, He/Him is begrudgingly accepted

@Slaanesh

To be fair I wouldn't need to get brainwashed by a chaos God to play Minecraft

Anyone know an easy way to learn Vim? Because I swear I kinda wanna learn it but I also don't want to suffer
@Slaanesh I'll think about it, especially figuring out how to move instances from the app

@Slaanesh well then, why don't you take me too?

All I need is a functional internet connection and a computer to code on :3

@Slaanesh are you sure about that?
Which Linux distro should I choose that is fairly easy to use but still good for an aspiring developer?
The only way I'd be an even bigger stereotype is if my laptop were a Lenovo Thinkpad

My timeline is empty… time to make friends!

Hi! I'm @searlsβ€”the same one as https://twitter.com/searls

While I'm best known for dishing salty takes about buggy apps, I've actually dedicated my career to improving the experiences people have building and using software. It's why I cofounded the employee-owned agency @testdouble.

This place feels just like early-days Twitter. Playful. Cozy. Full of new things. A chance to make real-world friends. I hope we can recreate the magic together here! πŸ’š

Justin Searls (@searls) / Twitter

Almost as good at writing code as talking about writing code. Total 🐞 magnet. Co-founded @testdouble. @beckyjoy's lesser Β½. ζ—₯本θͺž πŸ†—. A Song of πŸ§‚& πŸ”₯.

@willem_meints I get what you mean there, but I'd teach C because it's still far more prevalent in industry compared to Rust.

Also because a lot of modern languages have features directly evolved from C and C like syntax.

And I'd also add a pure functional language in at a later date, like Haskell or F#.
