@daringfireball John I’ve seen a lot of posts/discussion from you re: skipping Tahoe on your main machine, but not much (if any?) about what your experience on Tahoe has been like on your podcasting/basement computer. Has it been every bit of the living nightmare that we can assume it has been? 😂 @gruber
@matthew This being the Multiverse Saga has given them an out in that they can use the Fox characters, etc. for one big final end all be all. And frankly, I would be disappointed if they didn’t do that. Yeah they dropped the ball after Endgame but as a Marvel fan I’m pumped and know that the Russos will deliver

@daringfireball absolutely a classic @gruber !!! 🐚 🐚 🐚

Great discussion here but I think what’s being glossed over is the fact that Apple and Meta have very different ideas of what a “really good product” is in general, and especially with AR glasses. Apple is 100% aware of what Meta has been doing and isn’t letting their timeline affect their plans/roadmap @connected @imyke @ismh86

If you missed it, I was at Apple Park on Tuesday for the iPhone 17 media event and yesterday published 2,000 words on what everything means in a disability context.

Pondering this week’s ‘Awe-Dropping’ Apple Event — Curb Cuts

I was on the ground at Apple Park yesterday covering Apple’s “Awe-Dropping” event , during which the company announced a slew of upgraded iPhones , Apple Watches , AirPods Pro , and more. The critiques of the new products are, for now anyway, compromised if only because I haven’t had meaningful

@daringfireball great video, and Dieter is a great spokesperson. His focus on software is interesting, and makes me wonder (yearn?) for Apple’s hypothetical version of this type of product, which would undoubtedly blow this out of the water @gruber
@daringfireball Dye’s blurb was well-written, but written in a very “corporate” manner, obviously by committee/team. I’m sure there was a similar group effort for the Aqua intro, but ultimately Jobs chose to word/deliver it in his own way, which of course, due to the fact that is the best, ended up coming across as very down to earth, informative, yet exciting. Dye unfortunately isn’t at that level and despite his blurb hitting all the key points, came across as flat @gruber
@daringfireball friendly PSA: only music “slaps” in this context. For example, in the Bay Area, those of us who affectionately (and correctly) call San Francisco “Frisco” only use “slaps” to describe good music.
