Twitter has banned Mastodon links & addresses in profile fields in an attempt to reduce the effectiveness of follow-finder tools like https://fedifinder.glitch.me/, calling any Mastodon link malware: "Account update failed: Description is considered malware."

At least for tech, this is closing the barn door after the horse bolted.

Most people I follow are primarily posting here. Some are cross posting and a few are only posting to Twitter, with the more technical discussions disproportionately here.
