I have a technical interview tomorrow morning for a job after 18 months and I
feel like I’m going to fail. I have no idea why though because I’ve been damn
good at my jobs for 20 years. I just have a 6 month old that I watch 5 days a
week, work a fast food job the other 2 days, a spouse that is recovering from
cancer, a disease that the chemo had on him, and now an appendicitis. I NEED a
job, I am running through money faster than I can make it. I’m worried that all
of these pressures put more stress on me which translates somehow to my
interviews.

I’m still searching for a job. On some of these applications they want a 1-3
minute video of me just answering questions to myself and send it in. If feels
scammy, but maybe I’m just not doing it right. What do you do?

I have been reading a lot lately about not wearing outside shoes in the house
and it interests me even more because I’ve been saving to re-carpet my whole
house. It hits me every now and then about how to do things though, like, say
I’m cooking all day on Sunday then need to take the trash out. I’m assuming it’s
change shoes, then say the grandkids stop by and want to go go for a bike ride?
I’m assuming it’s change shoes. I guess maybe what I’m asking is how many
baskets by how many doors with how many pairs of slip-ons (both indoor and out)
do I need?
Edit: I’m so sorry I haven’t responded in a while, I figured this post got buried because it never made it to my instance? Client? Idk, I’m still trying to figure it out. Than you all for the honesty, and I can understand some easily and other comments are just going to take me a minute to put myself in someone else’s shoes. You all have helped me a lot.

I WFH, every year one of the goals that the rest of the team decides is the it’s
“so great” to see each other in person. The past few years haven’t worked out
but one did. I spent hours in a couple of airports, the huge expense for the
company, I spent days away from my family, and for what? So you could look me in
my same face you would see if we turned cameras on every once in a while? My
husband says I’m being weird, but I legitimately want to know, what is the
benefit? I hate being there and have to play nice so you can…look me even closer
in the face?

I want to use pi-hole and it comes highly recommended to use raspberry pi to
cover the house and have an always on capability. I started looking at just
starter packages at Amazon and they don’t come with a monitor, which it looks
like you need. How do I do this? I want a raspberry pi to run pi-hole to protect
my house.
