an example of not outsourcing your brain: I refuse to allow code that violates certain idioms that we relied on before the machines took over. I harangue the lads that their specs only contain the what, not the how, and that you cannot omit the how since 1, you are responsible but also 2, you might leave and now I'm responsible.

I again point out that I do in fact use AI. My complaint, more than anything, is that no one will even listen to the concept of an idea that maybe, just maybe, a tool or technology might not be perfect in every way with absolutely no downsides ever, under any possible circumstances, and that we should approach it with care and caution and not outsource our fucking brains at the drop of a hat

ahhhh looks like my perf review got leaked.
