If Apple can support Photonic Engine outputting 24 MP Smart HDR 5 on the iPhone 15 with A16 Bionic, I have no idea why they couldn’t support that on iPhone 14 Pro. 14Pro has same sensor as 15 Pro and same SoC as 15, which both have Smart HDR 5 and 24 MP resolution.

@_ChrisHarris @atpfm @marcoarment the arrangement of the cameras did definitely change. The ultra wide is now top left. So the relevant cameras for the spatial photos are now side by side in landscape.
@_ChrisHarris @atpfm @marcoarment I don’t know if they need the A17 for the processing to enable that or if there other changes to the sensor besides sensor size, focal length and aperture. They did not mention if the sensor would have improved read out speed.
@yertle @atpfm @marcoarment the lens has the new coating to avoid lens flare and it has the processing updates (Smart HDR 5, 24 MP Super-High Resolution HEIF)
@atpfm @marcoarment you have to listen closely in the event video. They compare the iPhone 15 Pro main camera to the iPhone 15 one, not the 14 Pro. Because there is no difference. 😜
