⚠️ Update: #Iran's internet blackout has entered its 40th day after 936 hours of near-total disconnection from the outside world.

The wartime censorship measure continues even as the US and Iran regimes each declare victory, with the Iranian people once again left in the dark.

⚠️ Update: Metrics show #Iran has entered the 39th day of an internet blackout that has been in place for over 912 hours. The measure leaves most Iranians isolated from the global network known as the internet, with only a domestic digital service, or intranet, now available.

⚠️ Update: The internet blackout in #Iran is entering its 38th day with the general public now cut off from international networks for over 888 hours.

The measure leaves Iranians without access to independent sources of information relating to the war or global news events.

ℹ️ Confirmed: A region-scale power outage has been knocked out internet connectivity across much of Donetsk Oblast, Russian-occupied #Ukraine; the losses in service are attributed Ukrainian UAV attacks targeting energy infrastructure with near-total recovery now evident 🔌
⚠️ Update: #Iran's internet blackout is now the longest nation-scale internet shutdown on record in any country, exceeding all other comparable incidents in severity having entered its 37th consecutive day after 864 hours.

🗓️ Exactly five weeks ago on Saturday 28 February, #Iran cut off access to the global internet.

The measure remains in place, entering day 36 after 840 hours, isolating the general public as authorities explore ways to give chosen users access via a tiered whitelisting system.

⚠️ Update: The internet blackout in #Iran is now on its 35th consecutive day as connectivity flatlines at 1% of ordinary levels after 816 hours. The general public remain cut off from the world without vital updates and without a voice as the incident closes its fifth week.

⚠️ Update: It's now day 34 of #Iran's internet blackout as the nation-scale censorship measure continues past 792 hours in its second month.

Friends and family remain largely cut off from the outside world amid growing anxiety over wartime casualties, arrests, and executions.

⚠️ Update: Metrics show #Iran's internet blackout has entered day 33 after 768 hours with connectivity observed at ~1% of ordinary levels, as authorities widen their crackdown on satellite terminals in a bid to eliminate remaining means of communication with the outside world.

⚠️ Update: #Iran's internet blackout has entered day 32 with most users cut off from the outside world for over 744 hours.

Extended digital isolation is bringing new challenges for Iranians, from expired domains and accounts to unpatched servers on a degrading national intranet.
