Feel like I want to push Mastodon over Hive, since this place already has much better infrastructure in place, and the federated aspect isn't as complicated as people are performatively making it out to be.

Hive still seems like a long way from being ready for a mass exodus, even though it more closely imitates twitter.

But then I'm not really engaging here yet, so I'm partly to blame.

The actual thing I do on Social Media is read a lot and have all these long internal thoughts, but post very little.

But this somehow tricks my brain into thinking I've engaged more than I have, when actually I've basically just stood at the back staring.

My contactless card seemed to have stopped working, thought it might be a faff getting replacement but I only had to click a couple of things on the website and they're sending a new one.

Yes that's the kind of content I'm going to bring to Mastodon, this is the real me. Not the heightened character I play on twitter.
