After a certain touring band caught heat for demanding $$$ from the person who did their Japan tour maybe we should take the chance to examine many practices across labels, bands, promoters, etc. & a definite shift I’ve seen of operating in what I consider to be away from DIY values and closer to (possibly unsuccessful or not very profitable) capitalist values. The seeds if not full-blown practices are everywhere should you choose to see them and call them for what they are.
