@mcc the generic language learning advice i give, having learned a few languages myself, is that nothing beats having stuff to read/listen to that interests you, and having access to a serious dictionary
regarding pronunciation, i think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_orthography#Spelling_to_sound_correspondences is helpful. French feels like a read-only language to me: once you familiarise yourself with the weird spelling, you can guess pronunciations fairly well, but the reverse is much harder

@[email protected] oh god now that i think about it gifs are just unsuited to modern platforms. they work on webforums because your screen is not permanently scrolled to the end of the thread and there is no notifications tab. they work on chan sites because the gif doesn't display inline. but they are not really suited to any modern messaging service or microblogging service i can think of
