For people with connections to the Pacific Palisades, it would be useful to have a clearing house for specific information about fire damage. I'm basically nobody, but our family has lost one residence, and we don't know about another. I would be willing to host replies with either images or video of residential, public, and commercial fire damage provided you include the address at which it was taken. Alternatively, if someone is already doing this, just point me there.

Most people in the Palisades were quite aware of the climate crisis. California, generally, is fairly aware. They're not the problem. Eastern CA is part of the problem. Idaho is the problem. Texas is the problem. They're not affected, and they hate people who want to fight the crisis. They're probably happy to see California have this problem. So, no, this won't lead to solutions.

@adhdeanasl Boring is always personal. I will say hackers love people who are bored by cyber security, and who use technology a lot. Perfect targets. A corporation only needs one to be exploited, so just think of the power you have to screw things up.

If they aren't visible-blind, it would interfere with reconnaissance. We worry about that for our space assets and, I'm guessing, our reconnaissance drones. However, if this is night reconnaissance, then aiming relatively broadband IR would be more appropriate. Just sayin'.

Thanks for the response. What are your error bars? How much of your wind is offshore? I'm guessing that you can limit the power coming from a turbine by varying its pitch, so that you have fair control over output. The relative constancy over 24 hrs. of wind output is pretty remarkable.
