@scottmstedman You're absolutely right, though. It's been broken a long, long time. I was bitching about Boeing ads on CNN and MTP almost ten years ago. Those aren't for viewers. And the concept is the same all the way through. Advertising-based journalism has too many imbedded conflicts of interest—even just broadly, in wanting to be “friendly”—to really serve the public.
