It’s been quite a year, hasn’t it?

I still love to get in a music stream when I can, Star Rail continues to be a chill comfort, Yakuza was fun, and FF9 is every bit as good as I remembered.

Tomorrow, hopefully, finally, the cottage gets gigabit internet.

I’ve waited like 25 years for this, maybe 35 total, from swapping floppies via post, to modem, to DSL, a bit of coax, a taste in a lab long, long after hours when the rest of the net wasn’t ready…

I am hungry for it…

My new router has arrived. And hopefully, in two weeks: gigabit fibre??

It’s so overdue. Screw that corroding, no longer being fixed, VDSL2 copper I’ve been slumming it on for so long; the cottage is getting the real good stuff! 💜

Sadly, my internet connection is unstable as hell today. I am not sure what's up — maybe the copper's degrading and not being fixed anymore because it's Legacy, maybe the router is fuxx0red — but the upshot is: no stream today.

I gotta get this fixed/​replaced soon…! 😅
