Stainless steel kitchen sponge [https://media.hygi.eu/414669/image/161601_big_0.jpg?cache=d7f2bbffbcb1322d373d3c156a4a4ab9] They are way easier to get, plus they are cheaper. I’m wondering mainly: - can you think of a reason why it could be dangerous to use the stainless steel one? - would it hurt the soldering iron tip?

Is there a firewall solution for Linux that will notify me of any connections that other processes try to establish, and let me allow/deny each connection manually? I would like to get more concious about which tools are connecting to the internet, and how often.
