If I were shopping - hypothetically - for a MacBook Neo, I'd definitely spring the extra £100 for more storage and Touch ID.

Anyone who's buying a $599 MacBook Neo isn't going to care that it can only drive one external monitor. People who need multiple extra screens aren't shopping for sub-$1000 laptops.
Maybe the rumoured A18-powered MacBook will fill that gap?
New MacBook Air with M5 starts at £1,099 (with 512 gb storage). I assumed the current M4 version with 256 gb would remain on sale at £999, but it’s gone from Apple’s website. Shame for anyone shopping for sub-£1,000 machine.
I was prepared to give Tim Cook the benefit of the doubt over his $1 million dollar donation to Trump’s inauguration and that ridiculous gold bauble, but this is appalling. @marcoarment was right: he needs to go.
@atpfm Listening to your follow-up on the iPhone Air and surprised to hear you say the Plus models were poor sellers. I’ve been in the Plus Club since the iPhone 8 and super disappointed by this year’s lineup. Not interested in the Air for all the reasons Marco said, but not willing to pay an extra £400 to get the Pro Max, which is the only real big screen option; I really don’t need the other Pro features! So either my 15 Plus lives on another year or I get the 16 Plus that’s still on sale.
