Quantum ESPRESSO is being ported to GPU using #OpenMP! You can view the porting strategy on the slides below. Click on the link.

Quantum ESPRESSO is an integrated suite of Open-Source computer codes for electronic-structure calculations and materials modeling at the nanoscale. It is based on density-functional theory, plane waves, and pseudopotentials.

🔊 Guillaume Pasero presented our #quantumcomputing results at #BiDS23 in Vienna last week. Contrastive learning is a self-supervised learning method. We implemented a quantum contrastive learning algorithm and applied it to the segmentation of satellite images 🛰.

We presented the following #quantumcomputing results at #IGARSS23 in Pasadena this week. We show how Ising models can be used for the segmentation of satellite images. The images are mapped on an Ising model, and the Ising model is solved on the D-Wave quantum annealer. The results look promising.
