@GenX @RollingStone hello from Texas. This crap is unpopular as hell here. The problem is the satanic gerrymandering. The four largest metro areas in Texas are reliably blue. And represent a huge chunk of the population. The rural areas are depopulating. At the same time the metro regions are growing with many blue voters. Tick tock.

@rooster thanks for the answer. We can hope for true and reliable clean energy. As unpopular as it is with some people I think our best option will be nuclear for generating enough energy to keep the crypto mines humming along.

@rooster I believe you posted a great thread on fusion leading up to the announcement on Tuesday. So what did you think of the reveal? Seems like we are still many years away from this being a reality. My father was in industrial sales in the 1970s and nuclear power plants were major customers of his. We often had nuclear engineers at our house for parties and such. I recall them all being excited about fusion back then. We had great chats even though I was just a curious kid.

@karenhao my spouse is Polish. 100%. Lensa published about a third of her pictures as an Asian woman. One of which made her look like a sex worker. Seems like the AI my not be so A.

@kairyssdal Great to see you here. I am an avid listener and appreciate your social media. I hope lessons have been learned from the Twitter flame out. I think this idea is one that can work but it needs guardrails. Let us see how this evolves.
