Need a new mechanical KB. Any good guides online or may I ask for help here?
I’m coming from a Logitech G815. What I liked: - low profile keycaps; - aluminum body; - USB port to plug my mouse into it instead of into the PC; - backlit; What I disliked: - switches (presses would register way before feedback); - proprietary app for macros, and other configs; What I’m looking for: - mechanical tactile/clicky; - backlighting (through they keycap, as I need to see the keys I’m pressing); - smaller form factor but with tenkey; - shipped to and from EU; - wired; - US international layout; What I’d like on top, but I can compromise: - low profile keycaps; - RGB backlighting; - aluminum body; - adult/sleek design; Usage will be gaming (no competitive) and a lot of typing. Budget is the main problem, as I’d like to spend no more than 100-125€ but can stretch it to 150€ if it means having more criteria met. What I looked at so far: Logitech, but the prices aren’t quite there and I wasn’t happy with the G815’s switches; Keychron, but most of them don’t seem to have lighting that goes through the keycaps?; Akko, seem to have the same “issue”; Monsgeek, seems to be more niche stuff and I can’t find a small + 10key form factor. Thanks in advance!
An easier way to organize RetroArch for multidisc games?
F.E.A.R. 2 GOG version no mouse buttons input bug?
As per title, I was trying to play this game but for some reason it doesn’t register ANY mouse button inputs (not in the key rebinding menu, nor in game). Tried installing via .exe, via Lutris “script” (? idk how to call it exactly, but basically by letting Lutris manage everything? Usually it’s made by users), tried several Wine/Proton versions, reinstalling, different USB ports. Nothing works lol Searched online and the only mouse issue other people have is with the sensitivity and not being able to use side buttons (M3, M4 etc). I have no idea how to troubleshoot this, no mentions on the PCwiki either. Looked through logs and I didn’t really see any errors. Does anyone have pointers? Thank you in advance!
Upgraded the CPU and now have GPU problems... any help?
I went from a 2600x to a 5600 (yes, MoBo is compatible after BIOS update) and now for some reasons I get 1FPS in games and monitor is not really detected (resolution is fine, but I can’t change refresh rate and in “color” settings it’s shown as “None-1 Monitor”). I tried: - monitor factory reset; - updating GPU drivers (was already running latest); - removing and purging GPU drivers (sudo apt remove ~nnvidia and sudo apt-get purge nvidia*) and reinstalling (sudo apt install pop-desktop system76-driver-nvidia); - resetting RAM speed to factory (2400Mhz). Still nothing. As you can guess from the commands, I’m running PoP!_OS and a nVidia GPU. What else can I try? Thanks in advance! Issue found: I disabled secure boot from BIOS and now I can change resolution and refresh rate. Since I updated BIOS just before installing the new CPU it went under the radar
How would I use a DS4 (wired) on Linux to play old games on RetroArch?
Anomaly GAMMA on Linux: Mord3rca launcher works, but get CTD
The launcher works and installs almost all the necessary mods (I get a “no valid game data” flag in MO2 for 10 mods and their folder are indeed empty except for a .ini file), the game launches and plays, but inserting a weapon part into a weapon crashes the game every time. The error message is about item_exo_device.script:21 attempt to get exo_mcm (nil value). I fixed it by installing GAMMA in a real W10 install and then manually copying the content of the folders of those mods (just GAMMA/mods) that were flagged by MO2 from the W10 official GAMMA launcher to my gamma-launcher Linux install. Some of those flagged mods were indeed correctly downloaded by the official Windows GAMMA installer and their folders were filled with files, so I simply copied those to my Linux install. Namely, the mods referencing exo suits and exo suits noise were the cause of my crash (no idea what installing a weapon part in a starter weapon has to do with exos). Now the issue of part stripping and reinstalling is fixed! I still have issues with MO2 itself (I can’t activate/deactivate mods, doing so freezes MO2 and the changes simply don’t stick; also running Anomaly Launcher from MO2 doesn’t really work, as it actually launches only when I click Run and then CLOSE MO2), but at least the game is playable (for now). See you in the Zone! Also watch Shadow of the Zone by Eval Royalty, pretty nice short movie set in the STALKER universe
Sorry for xpost, anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

Still can't play Anomaly GAMMA, anyone got any tips?
Tried all possible ways: 1. Mord3rca’s gamma-launcher, worked but installing ANY weapon part causes CTD every time without fail; 2. Siren’s repack, CTD on launch because of a head_damage value; 3. “Official” launcher on a bare-metal W10 install and then copying everyrhing over to my Linux drive, yet another issue I’m not remembering; I used to be able to play it before, can’t give a precise timeframe but I think six months ago or so there wasn’t any issue. Then for some reason I unistalled it and I’ve been having problems since. I followed dravenousrex’s guide with all the winetricks dll installs etc, and I know about changing the location of Anomaly and GAMMA folders for ModOrganizer to find (Z drive etc). Other games play just fine, it’s just GAMMA that I can’t get to work. Base Anomaly works too. Using Lutris + wineGE 8.26. I guess I could try using Steam + Proton instead, but besides that I have no idea what to do or look for. PoP! _OS 22.04 Any help appreciated!
