Touching grass today so this existential psychosis doesn't tilt me into the deep end.

Today my little bastard lost his hind leg. I'm totally shattered. He had an aggressive, rapidly growing tumour that couldn't be successfully removed. Thankfully the cancer hadn't metastasized so removing his leg will save his life, but it happened so fast I'm still struggling to catch up. I feel so bad for him, and so guilty because he won't understand what's happening or why his leg is suddenly gone 😭 I'm terrified that we missed something and it'll come back again.

Don't be fooled. He's a bastard.
