Headline of the day: Adorable snowshoe hares found to routinely feast on their own dead: study
This fits my worldview, already. From https://shirt.woot.com/offers/you-have-to-try-this-guys:
And yes, I own this shirt.
Comfort Moose Day.
This is Dean.... He's hiding out at my office today. So far no one's noticed. Which amuses me endlessly.
I'm IT support. I answer questions about printing, your printer, what to do when any number of daily things goes wrong.
But I also film lectures. Our staff, people we invite, on topics around the wiiiide subject of HIV or addiction or hepatitis. I've been doing this for a long time. around 2100 lectures attended.
Also means I've learned when/how to ask a weird but genuine question:
Have I filmed you?
Do NOT ask in a bar after work. Is all I'm saying.
I took the picture. It caught my eye, small bit of green where metal, cement and wood met. Life being relentless.
I kept the picture because it's the bench where we sat watching the final sunset over Dublin. It's the bench I saw the two boys at the light, waiting, shyly kiss which shocked me out of memories of hiding to smile in the moment. It's the bench where I thought... this time I can say good-bye correctly to the city.
It's the bench with the bit of green, relentless.
So I have a thing for stuffed bears. (get your minds out of the gutter!) I love mine and call them my children because I'm working toward "Crazy Old Man at the End of the Road" status.
But when all is said and done and I assume my husband is shaking his head at me... There are days like yesterday when I realize I've infected him with my madness.
How do I know?
This was waiting on the end of my bed for me. He giggled like a loon.
These tealights were left out... a smiley face you set on fire. On purpose.
Culmination of a lifetime... (crying) https://mastodon.social/media/c8ioQiIJn2lr-uEr3DY

I TOLD the husband I wanted a moose. He got me two. So of course the large one needs to be Sam (surprise) and well... that only leaves Dean for the name of the smaller one.
Just... thought a certain @LAGilman would laugh as much as I did. With this addendum: Dean? Was "A Moose in a Can". :P
