Humility: the word contains the same root as the word humus, which refers to soil, earth, the ground. It is also linked to the word human, for we are earthlings, we are creatures whose feet touch the ground.

Though they share the same root, how different humiliation is from humility. For if humility is a state that blossoms from within, a state of true affection for and kinship with the lowly, humiliation is a state that is imposed from without. To be humiliated is to be brought low, to feel ashamed of being one-downed, of being made to “eat dirt.”
No matter how much one may love the world as a whole, one can live fully in it only by living responsibly in some small part of it. Where we live and who we live there with define the terms of our relationship to the world and to humanity. We thus come again to the paradox that one can become whole only by the responsible acceptance of one's partiality.

Fellow at the NCLAT registry marked a defect on an appeal and informed me that I would have to file two separate appeals for each of the two orders under challenge. The workaround that was to file the same appeal twice. Go figure.
Need advice - my boss wants to me do a clerical personal task for him and apply for his court pass. Do I take it up or refuse and offer to resign?
