I have said this before, but it's worth repeating: in times of crisis it is easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of outrages that call for your attention. Pick your issue. Pick the corner of the world that you are going to defend and fight for that. If you try to fight everything all the time, you will burn out real fast.

#USPOL hot take: the electoral college makes the nation feel more divided than it really is and that is one of the reasons that the right wing wants to keep it so badly. Seeing him get 312 electoral votes is demoralizing, but in reality there were only about 2% more Americans voting for him than for Harris. The way it skews perception is wild and honestly dangerous.

Musk is always going to have money. Twitter making him more or less isn't going to phase him one iota. But what he hates more than literally anything else is being made a fool of, and his followers hate it even more. Denying them a safe space to do that is more than enough reason to stay.

Dear people calling others complicit for still using X: you are considering X a business that makes Muskrat money. In reality, if you don't use the app and you block ads and you get any of your friends who pay for X to give up their blue check you effectively cost X money to be there. If your state has an abortion ban on the ballot today, pay close attention to how it is written so you don't accidentally vote yes to banning or no to allowing.
