Well shit, apparently this movie is actually part of the MCU timeline. I hope that doesn’t mean they’ve toned it down.
Back in the day there was a website called jumptheshark.com that discussed the “jumped the shark” turning point episodes of various TV shows. It was an interesting and hilarious read at the time. Been defunct a while now though. Very useful term to describe entertainment series that lost their mojo.
