Dear Everyone Who Ever Attends Any Kind Of Meeting Where Microphones Are Used: If it’s your turn to speak, USE THE MICROPHONE. THEY HAVE IT FOR A REASON. NO, YOU ARE NOT LOUD ENOUGH. USE THE FUCKING MICROPHONE.
@solar_chase unless you live in an urban area where you don't have the option to park/charge where you live and your employer doesn't have charging stations. Unfortunately our transportation infrastructure is built around internal combustion and until there are much bigger strides to change that, EV is still impractical for many of the people who would actually benefit most from it.
@jmritchey.bsky: If I had explain American history in one sentence, I could do worse than "John Brown was hung for treason, but Robert E. Lee was not."
@ringmaster@skippy Hi friends. I've regularly told students "sometimes good enough is good enough." But only sometimes. Attention to detail and high accuracy is important, but not all of the time. The aesthetics of the front side of a set and the back side are very different. The code I write is, at best "good enough" but for my aquarium temperature sensors, it doesn't need to be well documented and clean. I think it can be as much about priority as about how you value the end product.
