@ysera How DARE that disabled woman have commentary on something vaguely related to her disability!!
I'm asking any creators AND anyone with sensory comforts for advice on how to better repair a comfort stuffy for a 4yo. It's going to need repairs over time as it continues to be loved. I especially want to be able to "repair" the BAB patch, as we have no more that we are willing to sacrifice. I don't think she really cares what it SAYS so much as having the correct texture that she is used to.

I'm looking for advice
My nibling has a MUCH LOVED build-a-bear that will soon need an appointment at the doll hospital. I'm prepared for the basic body transplant, but would love some help with specific issues.

Aside from the fabric having been loved to the point of disintegration, the BAB patch on the paw is a tactile comfort that has been worn away and replaced more than once (we cannibalized patches from others BABs)

@MaJ1 @SurrealSeal @DoubleTreble arachnophile might be real, though!
@MaJ1 @SurrealSeal @DoubleTreble @crochet seeing as I limit capital crimes to invading my immediate living space (and causing distress)
Wife has an active phobia and living in the upper spaces is a HUGE compromise!
@SurrealSeal @DoubleTreble @crochet @MaJ1 formal notice is given on an annual basis, reminding them of the house rules. I have only had to end two lives under said rules, as the rest accept our treaty!
@MaJ1 @DoubleTreble @crochet death sentence is limited to VERY specific circumstances. I prefer to allow spiders to pay their rent by eating unwelcome bugs in my house!
@MaJ1 @DoubleTreble @crochet my vows included "I will squish the spiders for you" and "I'll finish that blanket SOMEDAY" No such promises about where the yarn may take up residence!
@PetraPhoenix @tso failing that, I'm a fan of embroidery over crochet. You can be fancy and detailed, or use yarn for over-stitching!
@chirpbirb ANYONE who doesn't have at least one hyperfixation worries me. Cis folks included.
