@deborahh they generally have good driver support and work out of the box because of this. If your laptop is really old it will probably work regardless of manufacturer.
@deborahh fair enough. I usually buy used or when they go on a massive sale during Black Friday but I understand it still may be expensive. My only advice would be to look at something with an intel cpu as in general I have found the intel wifi to work much better on Linux then the amd equivalent (I think it’s Qualcomm)
@deborahh not exactly what you asked for but a Lenovo thinkpad or dell latitude are often the easiest devices to use Linux. You also aren’t tied to any specific distro or require any specific patches like some other devices as they are generally well supported.
@djoerd @GrapheneOS known scammers are not colleagues lmao. They’ve grifted for years and should be called out for it.
@richarddebruin @GrapheneOS it is not a distro war e/os is a downgrade in both privacy and security from most stock android experiences. They have thrown sponsorship money for years at YouTubers to shill their product and fool the masses. If you were a privacy and security advocate you would never promote their products and would call out their BS marketing
@teadrinker papers as a gtk app. Okular for qt
@lw64 @soller if the backend of the pdf reader is in C then the most important part of the program is unsafe
@Lottie I agree this is foolish
@rileytestut @delta just tried it out and it’s fantastic! I’ve tried a few web emulators in the past and the touch controls on delta are far superior. Thanks so much for your hard work!
@GrapheneOS @monew Okay, thanks!
