@drvolts Still such an amazing series for getting people to think about communities/cities in terms of systems and not mere collections of individuals. And then still incredibly hard to see the weight of those broken systems fall fully on specific individuals in them.
@aileen206 my wife and I went to Le Coin in Fremont for a birthday meal a couple of years ago; I still think about how delicious all the food was.
@ZuriBella agreed, just wish more of the people I once followed were over here. Glad for the community I’m building, but definitely miss seeing some folks. Still, I’m not going back on there.
@ZuriBella I don’t know, it’s like some people are just so susceptible to lies and propaganda.
@ZuriBella it’s like the childhood friend that changes the rules of the game so that they always win. The only real rule that exist is just “I win, you lose.”
@artburn still impressive. Like you, definitely still rooting for Deutschland. Hard to imagine them going out in the group stage two world cups in a row. Fingers crossed for Sunday, but Spain is looking sharp.
@artburn their fans were absolutely electric too: the drums, chanting, arm pumps. They seemed so hungry for the win.
@jrb there are also some that would argue that neither of them could be said to be man or woman, in the second creation text, until after they were separated into two beings. And in the first creation text, it could be said God created them male and female, in God’s image, as God also created light and dark: so, not as a binary but as a spectrum.
@Skepticat @adamcbest I played on the same high school football team as Mahomes (nearly 15 years before he did; but you know minor detail). 😄
@gus more Phinney than Greenwood, but I love the quesadillas from Chupacabra. Their shrimp tacos are really good too.
