Nah, the battery I put in there as a replacement didn't have enough oomph to keep it alive for more than a minute when unplugged. Not a big surprise, as the joystick it came out of was itself pretty old.

Just swapped the battery on this Creative Zen X-Fi, and after repeated soldering attempts, managed to get it working! We'll see how long that lasts, and if it can charge properly over a long span of time.
