Now running 3-5 miles for a light run after about 3 months of training. Hadn't really run in the last 10 years, mostly due to a hip injury. Had my hip replaced 1.5 years ago, and this is awesome. Starting to get that runner's high again, and is forgotten how good it feels.
I built the biggest snowman I've ever built this weekend.

Ugh, it's so dark in Portland today, which I suppose is normal this time of year, but I'm already tired of the wet dark and we're not even to the solstice yet.

It might not be a good thing that with my solar data I can now obsess over how dark it is based on how little energy my panels produce. Not even a kWh today

They replaced a power pole down the street from my house today and told us we'd lose power, and I was excited to see my new battery + solar system take over. But we never completely lost power, just the amount we could draw from the grid dipped to about 1kw. That's less than I'm typically using without running a major appliance, so may not have noticed anything even without the battery backup, but still good to know it's there.
It's finally here! Took me 20 minutes to buy Silksong because all the stores were crashing. Finally got it to purchase on Nintendo Switch 2, even though I intended to play it on my Steamdeck. Oh well. Will probably end up playing it on multiple systems anyway. First 5 minutes and the movement is already SO satisfying

Today's internet outage(s) might make Tuesday's big day of outages look quaint

Hard to tell, but in Portland I don't think today's hands off protest was bigger than 2017s women's march. But it was a close. Just depressing we're back here doing this again, feels like the world hasn't moved forward in a decade
First time in 5ish years doing barbell squats. Couldn't do them for awhile because of an injury to my hip, but I'm about 4 months post hip replacement surgery now, and it's awesome that I can do stuff like this pain free again. We'll see how pain free my muscles are tomorrow... I only did 95 pounds, which should be super light, but everything makes me sore when I haven't done it for awhile
