MMO:VAS is a multidisciplinary project that explores monumental funerary architecture on Jerusalem's Mount of Olives dating to the first millennium BCE. Directed by Matthew Suriano at the University of Maryland, the project is entirely virtual and based upon legacy material. Our research is conducted through digital modeling, mapping, archival work, and museum-based studies. The project’s primary focus at this time are the monolithic tombs in Silwan that date to the late-Iron Age.

9.27.22 – London research, summer of 2022 In July 27–29, our research team was in London to work on the inscriptions from Monolith-1, including the Royal Steward Inscription. This work involved laser scanning the inscriptions, which the museum did at our request. We were also able to do research
