By the time the TechnoZones are empty of people, they already have robots and are ongoing with the execution of the fifth industrial revolution. But they need resources from the Faraday Zones. War is brewing and the pirates will have to fight their homeland. By reverse engineering the remaining digital leash they hack into the TechnoZone mainframe, unnoticed, in a desperate move to halt the start of the War. The TechnoZone lord machine intelligence launches all available nukes in retaliation.
People from Technocratic Zone starts to flee, but their movements are tracked and they are made blind of one eye if they try to move into exile. The one-eyed cohort of the population now living in the Faraday Zone are marginalised and although they won't lack food and water, none of the high tech comforts of their previous life are available. They all wear eye-patches and call themselves pirates. Eventually, half the population are pirates, but the TechnoZone won't stop without population.
The Post Industrial Technocratic side of the world has to begin imports of fresh water and healthy soil, clean air is pumped from the natural reserves, and the balancing act of keeping the planetary boundaries within the habitable thresholds swings on the finest of threads. Tariffs are imposed to curb Green House Effect caused by pollution. Trade halts and the flow of healthy air, water and soil comes to an end. Agriculture is only sustained at the Faraday Zones, but those are also endangered.
Privacy dies, with a compliant mechanism akin to a pet-friendly chip surgically inserted below the human eye. The world starts to resemble a technocratic authoritarian fiefdom, humans are both happy and miserable, and a group of marginalised people self declared outlaws start to take refuge in nature reserves and places where surveillance can't find them. These deserts of radio communications are called Faraday Zones. Every compliant human is an Agent of the Technocratic government.
In a possible future (dystopian?) society, corruption get so out of control that they tried replacing human-led governments with Artificial Intelligence agents, to try to achieve a fair balance between Taxes, Budgets, Social Welfare, the Out-of-Monopoly Infra-structural works, Law making and to Keep the Order by having the monopoly on violence and arms, aiming to improve Free Market Capitalism, in the never-ending ideological fight against Socialist and Communist springs of revolution.
